Anjali
Jewellers has come a long way. From the begining when Anannya Chowdhury
set up shop in 1992, the focus has been on customer satisfaction
through a wide choice of gold and diamond jewellery, silver ornaments,
gems and precious stones and costume jewellery-with special emphasis
emphasis on trendy, light-weight jewellery -and value-added customer
services. A strategy that worked and paid rich dividends in terms of
response from customers as well as associates in the trade and industry
and other quarters like media and the goverment.
And
in a short span of time, the company grew from a single showroom at
Golpark to a chain of five outlets - including Salt Lake, Behala and
Sova Bazer - spread across the length and breadth of the city.

Supersalesman 2000 & 2004, DTC Nakshatra Utsav Best Showroom 2002
& 2003 and DTC Diamond Season Best Showroom 2004 & 2005.
Special
privileges like exclusive rights to exhibit and sell jewellery at North
American Bengali Conferences which is held every year, by rotation, in
different cities of the USA; and recognition to represent West Bengal in
Asia Week 2004 in Milan, Italy.
And,
most importantly, consistent increase of foot-falls at all showrooms
and a growing database of regular customers. Rewarding experiences that
kept Anjali jewellers going - from strength to strength.
Next,
in the pipeline, were innovations like the introduction of many
value-for-money schemes and other customer benefit services.
Trend-setting
initiatives include the very successful 'Jewellery Incentive Scheme'
and hugely popular shop promotions, on Valentine's Day and Christmas, to
attract the younger generation.
Eventually,
jewellery designed by Anjali Jewellers caught the fancy of film-markers
like Aparna Sen, Rituparno Ghosh and Vidhu Vinod Chopre; and was
extensively used in films like 'Chokher Bali', 'Antarmahal' and
'Parineeta'- adorning stars like Aishwarya Rai, Soha Ali Khan, Jackie
Shroff and Vidya Balan.
Infact Vidya Balan created a sensation wearing jewellery from Anjali Jewellers at the IIFA awards in Amsterdam last year.
Anjali
continues to make a difference for the real stars i.e. regular
